At the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS), we’re always looking for ways to improve and evolve our clinical care, so that all our patients experience the best level of care they can. 

NEAS have a dedicated team of research paramedics who are focused on improving paramedic practice, both in the North East and across the rest of the UK.

Our research projects have covered a variety of areas, including stroke, cardiac arrest, sepsis, head injuries, trauma, orthopaedics, triage techniques, referral pathways, leadership and quality improvement.

Due to the quality and impact of our research, our research team has won prizes for their research and NEAS is now considered to be one of the best ambulance services in the UK for pre-hospital research.
