This randomised control trial sponsored by the British Heart Foundation assessed whether transdermal glyceryl trinitrate (GTN) is beneficial to patients experiencing a stroke.
The trial completed recruitment in May 2018, and the results were published in February 2019 in The Lancet (RIGHT-2); Pre-hospital treatment with GTN for patients with presumed stroke does not appear to improve functional outcome.
