The PASTA Trial

This research study was a clinical trial to determine whether a Paramedic Acute Stroke Treatment Assessment (PASTA) pathway can speed up access to emergency stroke treatments, especially thrombolysis treatment, and so improve recovery after stroke.  The study ran for 3 years in three geographical areas in the UK – North East England, North West England and Wales.

OHCAO- Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrest Outcomes

Supported by the European Resuscitation Council and the British Heart Foundation, the Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrest Outcomes project (OHCAO) is building Europe’s largest registry of cardiac arrests that occur outside of the hospital. By analysing the data we will identify best practice and improve patient outcomes for those suffering out of hospital cardiac arrest. Find out more,
